A Story of Renewal

A Story of Renewal

When it comes to restoring marine life habitats in Mobile Bay, members of the Alabama Power Service Organization aren’t afraid to get their feet wet.

The Alabama Power Service Organization (APSO) provides opportunities for Alabama Power employees and their families to volunteer in the community. In May 2018, volunteers from APSO and The Nature Conservancy put on their wading shoes and rolled up their sleeves to help build artificial reefs along the shores of Mobile Bay. It was a long, hard day’s work, but one that will pay off for years to come as marine life begins to inhabit the artificial structure.

“It was a very labor-intensive day, but it was a wonderful day.”
